There are all kinds of people I would have never met if my kids hadn’t made friends. It’s one of the perks of being a mom. Sure there are someone people you wish you hadn’t met because of them but since my kids are for the most part discerning humans, it is rare for them to become friends with people I wouldn’t like. My youngest became enamored (for lack of a better word) with young Abby when he was only in the 2nd grade.  Both of them will be Freshman this coming year.  It’s hard to believe how much time has passed. Still, their friendship brought Abby’s Mom, Maggie and family into our lives.  Whenever I see them, I can’t help but smile.
