There are so many times where I say I’m addicted to things. this isn’t really true. I don’t really have an addictive personality. Sometimes I will see myself spending too much time with something and I will step away because there really is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
That was until I was introduced to Apple products. Granted, I like your everyday Golden Delicious but these kind of Apples make my life a truly decadent place. I sit now in the spare room of my house typing on my brand new iPad. The boys and I followed it’s travels from China to our front door via Fedex. We checked it regularly on the new iMac or on my iPhone. Are you seeing a trend here folks? I’d like to say it’s not an issue but I think I’d be lying. Apple is starting to take over my home & I love it. I first wanted an iPhone because I carried around an iPod constantly. Walking around with an iPod & a blackberry was too much. I’ve had an iPhone 4 for about a year. It does everything I need & then some. As I sat in front of the iMac editing photos, tweeting about my life on my iPhone & downloading apps to my iPad … It struck me that this might be a little overkill. Then my youngest came home from school and practically jumped in my lap to get to the iPad. What on Earth was I thinking? This is cool!
I’m typing up my blog post while I download angry birds to my iPad. I’m going on a field trip with my youngest tomorrow & I’m riding the bus. I need something to keep me occupied. I love being around kids but the idea of riding on that bus for a half hour each way with a bunch of screaming 2nd graders is not my idea of a grand time. I love that I get to go & play though. Last time the kids & I chatted a lot about buses & how the smell funny. Nearly 13 years since I’d been on a bus & they still smell gross. You’d think with all the advances in the world, we might have found an air freshener or something for those buses!
We’re going to see a lighthouse (i think). I’ve got a ton of things I should be doing but I’m going to hang out with my son instead. He’s so funny. He reminded me that I should wear layers and bring extra shoes. 😉 I’ll be sure to take tons of photographs to add to this random blog post. For now … Off to bed!
