Day Off

Today was my first day off in a while. When I’m not photographing someone, I am homeschooling my son or working on the non-profit.

So what exactly does one do on their day off? They wake up early, run around trying to make sure everyone is her family is happy and then get in the car so we can make it on time to the Seattle Sounders Game. The game was at one but anyone with two boys and a grumpy husband (anytime he has to drive to Seattle bring on the grumpy) knows that you have to get up early to prep.

I love going to Sounders Games. It is an entirely different dynamic than other sports. We had some amazing seats (6 rows up right behind the Sounders Bench) and the kids were giddy with excitement. We had garlic fries and laughed a ton. The Sounders won! YAY! The husband cheered up and then it was back to the car smiling. We even ran into some family members on our way to the car!! Hey Uncle John & Kristin! The car ride home was easy but then we decided to run errands. Costco and the places around it.

We finally walked in the door around 5:30. Whew! Then it was dinner time. A call about work. An on-line class with the fabulous Jasmine Star … and here I sit. Since I watched most of the class (despite timing out) on my phone in the car, I managed to fill in some of the blanks with a re-watch of the class and still watch “Cars” with the family.

It is now 11:40pm and everyone is in bed but me. Some day off huh? Tomorrow morning will be spent snuggling. Then it’s off to Seattle again and possibly a meet up with the fabulous Erin Oveis Brant.
